Frequently the transports ESMA Logistics organizes cannot be called standard. The nature of the ESMA customer requires sometimes extraordinary shipments, including the air cargo transportation of for example heavy (drive) shafts or pipe segments weighing many tonnes, because it is essential that these parts reach their destination quickly for ship repairs. Recently ESMA Logistics B.V. arranged a door-to-door transportation of six-meter long pipe segments that had been ordered by a shipyard in the Middle East. To prevent damage to the shipment and hold of the aircraft, the pipes were packaged in reinforced crates.
